CoFarm Foundation is a new registered charity (Registered Charity Number 1193795) in England and Wales. The Foundation has two wholly-owned trading subsidiaries - CoFarm Cambridge and CoFarm Estate Limited, both of which are exclusively focused on helping deliver the Foundation’s charitable purpose. The group was established on World Food Day in October 2019, as an optimal structure through which to deliver the Foundation’s vision.

CoFarm Cambridge is in the process of co-creating an agroecological community farm with and for the community in Abbey, Cambridge. You can find out more about this here.

CoFarm Estate Limited was established to help the Foundation to create a distributed network of community-based agroecological farms across the UK. You can find out more about this here.

Our Vision

By 2030 everyone in the United Kingdom will have access to local, sustainably produced food and opportunities to enjoy growing and sharing it with others.

Our Purpose

We bring people together to grow and share nutritious food and help build stronger communities and healthier ecosystems.

Our Values

CoFarm Foundation is a values-driven organisation. Our values will act as our rudder in fair and stormy seas and our compass when the path forward is unclear.

LOVING

We foster love, respect and awareness of ourselves, each other and our natural environment.

OPTIMISTIC

We recognise that humanity currently faces some major environmental, economic and social challenges, but we are optimists and believe we can and will overcome these challenges together.

VALUable

We think about ‘value’ in very broad terms. We continually iterate our business model to create, capture, measure and deliver maximum value to the communities we serve, our environment and our local economies.

EQUITABLE

We champion fair access to safe, nutritious and sustainably produced food and recognise this as a fundamental human right.

DIVERSE

We celebrate diversity and understand it as vital to maintaining healthy, vibrant human communities, farming systems and natural ecosystems.
